Zooplay
Kids education on wildlife conversation
In collaboration with the San Diego Zoo, created Zooplay, a groundbreaking voice skill tailored for children (4-9) to promote wildlife conservation. Guiding principles
How might we educate kids about animals and wildlife conservation?
ENGAGE
Acknowledging children's enunciation and attention challenges, Zooplay's conversational design incorporated phonetic interpretation, enabling it to understand variations like 'dalphwin' as 'dolphin'.
INTUITIVE
Zooplay's conversational design replicates natural child interactions, using short, friendly questions during onboarding to ensure comfort and command familiarity.
ENCOURAGING
In support of the San Diego Zoo's mission to inspire a love for wildlife, I incorporated zookeeper Rick's storytelling into Zooplay, using his narratives to connect children with animal care and zoo experiences.
Mapped user experience
Based on child learning research, I designed an engaging experience with games, zoo employee narrators, and rewards, enhancing user entertainment and learning.
Marketing and Branding
The Zooplay branding was strategically designed to align with San Diego Zoo Kids' established visual identity, utilizing their signature contrasting colors and simple patterns.
